Welcome to our madness...............There arent many people who can, or
even want to move a skatepark. We did it! Enjoy. Some are from a camera phone.
This is the mess of tearing the old park apart. I know Timmy has some more shots with his camera. The bowl was dismantled and ready to go in less than 18 hours. The rest of the park was fairly easy. Some of the ramps didnt make the move because tearing them down to a movable size would make them to much work to re-build them later. This part was easy!

This is the start of moving the ramps. We had an excavator
with several trucks and trailers to haul everything. Straps and chains were used
to lift the pieces up. It took only 2 days to empty the ramps out of the
building and move them to their new home. Camera phones suck but it was all
happening so fast this was all I could do.

Then another mess started:
Apparently my crew, (nobody in particular), wanted a challenge. The current build wasnt enough. Sooooo, after talking to an old friend at little devil our new challenge was in front of us. LD was downsizing and the ramp had to go. I was told there were others interested in getting this ramp but everytime it fell through. We decided to throw out our plans for the rear bike section and put this bowl in its place.
The bowl was built with old ramps from the previous LD warehouse, and some new ones. The bowl was assembled by Nate Wessel. We now refer to him as Nate "THE NAIL GUN" Wessel. I dont think he keeps a screwgun in his his tool box! Everything was nailed, and nailed heavily! It was only a matter of time before we found out who would make it to the end. Most of the hammers, and some pry bars were among the few. It was very rough on everyone, long drive, heavy work, long drive home, and then to unload so the trailers could be used at work the next day. There were a lot of late nights but in only 2 weeks we had all the pieces home. Getting them ready to be moved only took 4 days. Assembling the ramp as it sits now was a few days.

And in a few hours........

Can you imagine the looks we got on the road from other motorists......Now the million dollar question is "WHEN WILL IT BE DONE"! I have no date for completion. Moving the park exhausted a lot of funds and there is a lot of lumber that is needed to complete this ramp. Some people dont realize that even though we took it apart, it just doesnt go back together the same way. Also, that wood gets ruined when its nailed 50000 times. It will be finished as soon as I have the funds for it, so if you wanna help..keep comin to the park, every little bit helps.
And just when you think,"Whew we did it"! You realize you have to put it all back together! Make a skatepark out of this mess......!

There are so many more pics I cant post them all right now. They will be posted as they surface. I pulled these few out to highlight what went on. I have 4 cd's with 180 pics on each disc. Not all pics are good and there are other cameras with pics also. Check back.
